  • You can’t go wrong with RJ

    RJ Hampson books are a favorite of mine for several reasons. RJ's books always make me smile when I color in them and even when I don't. Just flipping through them is enough to lift my mood. I don't want calming. I don't want relaxing. I want warm fuzzies and laughter. And that is I get from RJ's work. His characters are absolutely fantastic - expressive, unique, and hilarious. I didn't realize that one of his characters might sometimes sneak over into a different book. That was a fun surprise! The second set of images is genius. This is where I try things like using gesso or workable spray fixative on a page. Maybe I will try a new background that I have never tried and I won't have to be concerned if I "mess up" the second one. Of course, buying a back up book is great idea, too. Or I cut out the page and put it on a clipboard so it is easier for me to manage. Or I give it to my niece so that she can color with me. The price for the product is great, in my opinion. I personally would have paid more. Things I don't like about RJ's books? I will get back to you, if I ever find something I don't like.

    I love this Artist’s books. This one is my favorite. The pictures are different than everyone else’s and just make you want color them all at one time. You’ll find everything from cute animals on bikes to medieval knights in a magical wonderland. Sometimes I make a copy of a coloring page as I’m nervous I’ll mess it up, but here you don’t have to that. There are 2 copies of each page, but the 2nd ones have a black background. You can try different ways of coloring them. I highly recommend.
